Priest With ‘Satanic Interests’ and Child Porn Sentenced — Diocese ‘Brought in Ghost busters’ to Exorcise House

A retired Catholic priest in Boise, Idaho, was sentenced to 25 years in prison, without parole, after pleading guilty to five felonies that included possession and distribution of child pornography and possession of the drug LSD.
The priest, according to detectives as reported in the Idaho Statesman, had more than 2,000 files of pornography — many depicting children in sexual or exploitative acts — and was, through emails and online chats, “‘actively seeking interests with gay men, satanic interests,’ and the rape and killing of minors.”
The situation was considered so disturbing that the Diocese of Boise had one of its exorcists pray over the priest’s home. As Fr. John Worster, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Boise, told the Idaho Statesman, “I had our diocesan exorcist and his prayer team come and pray over the house.” Read more here

ROME—Pope Francis on Friday capped a year of sex-abuse scandals in the Catholic Church by vowing to “do all that is necessary” to punish abusers for their “abominations” and urging the guilty to turn themselves in.
“To those who abuse minors, I would say this: convert and hand yourself over to human justice, and prepare for divine justice,” the pope told Vatican officials.
The pope made the remarks in his annual Christmas speech to the cardinals and bishops of the Roman Curia, the Catholic Church’s central administration, following a year of abuse scandals in the church in the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Australia.
In his speech, the pope noted that he has called a Vatican summit of bishops from around the world to discuss the abuse crisis over four days in February. The bishops will consult with experts on “how best to protect children, to avoid these tragedies, to bring healing and restoration to victims, and to improve the training imparted in seminaries.” Read more here

Pope Francis believes the western world has a “moral responsibility” to roll out the red carpet for those who want to enter any country they wish.
“No solution to the global issue of mass migration should ignore our moral responsibility for the common good, to welcome, protect, promote and integrate those who knock on our doors to find a safe future,” the pope said in a Thursday speech, according to Voice of Europe.
Francis said because of the UN’s “Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” all human beings have “universal and indivisible rights.”

The Vatican’s warm new relationship with the Chinese government is being hailed as a diplomatic victory by the Pope’s supporters. If it is a victory, I’m very afraid it could very well be a pyrrhic one. If so, it will be due to a naïve and misplaced trust in an authoritarian regime whose ill-will toward the faithful of any religion is growing more fierce each day—Catholicism not excluded.

Boise priest who lived in ‘world of Satanism and pornography’ sentenced to 25 years in prison
The Rev. W. Thomas Faucher, a longtime priest in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise who pleaded guilty to five felony crimes, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole and will be required to register as a sex offender.
Faucher, 73, was accused of amassing thousands of child porn images and videos on his home computer — and pleaded guilty in September to sharing some of those images online. He apologized in the courtroom ahead of his sentencing at the Ada County Courthouse in Boise on Thursday.
“This is the crime that has the potential for both immediate and long-lasting consequences,” 4th District Court Judge Jason Scott said. “… I think there is a legitimate risk to the community.”
“I am deeply sorry that I was and have been connected to that in any way,” Faucher told the judge in a statement that lasted about 17 minutes. Faucher said he was deeply struck by the victim impact statements and that he knows child pornography is not a victimless crime.
“I was one really sick puppy. I screwed up big time … I feel so much remorse and anger,” Faucher said at his sentencing. Read more here

A Playboy model who has posed naked at the Vatican while holding a large wooden crucifix in the latest of a series of controversial photoshoots has been arrested.
Belgian model Marisa Papens is seen dragging the cross across a street with St Peter’s Basilica visible in the background – while nude.
Another of the pictures shows Papen sitting naked on some bibles on the wet cobblestones of St Peter’s Square while other snaps show her tied to the cross.
Papens made global headlines when she was imprisoned after posing naked at the Karnak Temple Complex near Luxor, Egypt.
She also caused outrage in Israel when posing in front of Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall and in Turkey when she lifted up her burka inside Istanbul’s iconic Hagia Sophia, a former Byzantine church and Ottoman mosque which is now a museum, to reveal her genitals for a cheeky picture. Read more here
Democrats Press Judicial Nominee About Knights Of Columbus Membership
NOTE: This is the one time I agree with the Communist Democrats. The Nights of Columbus are the Catholic version of the Masons. The Catholics forbid members from being Masons so they started their own Good Ole Boys Club with secret oaths and blood rituals!
Two Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are pressing a nominee for the Nebraska federal trial court about his membership in the Knights of Columbus, a fraternal service organization of the Catholic Church.
Democratic Sens. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii and Kamala Harris of California submitted written questions in December to Brian Buescher, an Omaha lawyer nominated to the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, proposing that he resign his affiliation with the knights, which they call an “all male society” that “has taken a number of extreme positions” on social questions.
The Catholic News Agency was first to report Friday on Hirono and Harris’ questions respecting the Knights of Columbus.
Buescher leads the agribusiness litigation practice at Kutak Rock LLP, where he has practiced since graduating the Georgetown University Law Center in 2000. President Donald Trump nominated him to the federal bench on Oct. 10 at the recommendation of GOP Sens. Ben Sasse and Debra Fischer of Nebraska.
Lawmakers did not question Buescher about his enrollment in the knights during his Nov. 28 confirmation hearing, though he listed his association with the group in a questionnaire he returned to the Judiciary Committee prior to his appearance. The issue was only raised in a series of follow-up questions Democrats transmitted to Buescher on Dec. 5. Senators often submit written questions to nominees following a confirmation hearing, though they generally escape public notice. Read more here
