Priest ‘close to the Pope’ is accused of inviting two nuns to take part in a ‘Holy Trinity’ threesome
A Slovenian priest who is said to be close to the Pope has been accused of inviting two nuns to take part in a ‘Holy Trinity’ threesome.
Marko Ivan Rupnik, 68, was accused by a former nun of using his ‘psycho-spiritual’ control over her some three decades ago to have sex, including group sex, and watch pornographic films.
At the time of the allegations, Rupnik, who is known in the church for his artwork, was a spiritual director of a convent in Slovenia and the former nun, now 58, has described how her complaints against the priest were ignored.
Rupnik is now at the centre of a scandal that has engulfed the Jesuits, a Catholic order of priests and brothers, of which Pope Francis is a member. Read the rest here

Ex-priest pleads guilty to obscenity after filming threesome on church altar
A disgraced Louisiana Catholic priest has pleaded guilty to a felony obscenity charge for filming a threesome with two dominatrices on a church’s altar.
The 39-year-old was serving as pastor at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pearl River when one night in September 2020, when a passerby noticed that the lights were on inside the church.
When the witness peered through a window, he saw a half-naked Clark having a sex romp with two women in corsets and high-heeled boots atop the altar. Read the rest here
Pope Francis: Today’s World Needs Young ‘Transgressives’
ROME, Italy — Pope Francis called on young people to be “transgressive” Sunday instead of conforming to the expectations of the world around them.
Today, “we need young people who are truly ‘transgressives,’ non-conformists, who are not slaves to their mobile phones, but who change the world,” the pontiff told those gathered at the cathedral of Asti for his weekly Angelus message.
If they are transgressive, they will be “like Mary, bearing Jesus to others, taking care of others, building fraternal communities with others, making dreams of peace come true!” the pope added.
The Virgin Mary went “in haste” to visit her aged cousin Elizabeth when she learned she was with child, the pope reflected.
This is what today’s young need to do, he proposed, to “arise and go — not stay still thinking about ourselves, wasting our lives and chasing after comforts or the latest fads, but to aim for the heights, get on the move, leaving behind our own fears to reach out to those in need.” Read the rest here
Maryland probe finds 158 abusive priests and over 600 victims
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — An investigation by Maryland’s attorney general identified 158 Roman Catholic priests in the Archdiocese of Baltimore who have been accused of sexually and physically abusing more than 600 victims over the past 80 years, according to court records filed Thursday.
Attorney General Brian Frosh announced that his office has completed a 463-page report on the investigation, which began in 2019. He filed a motion in Baltimore Circuit Court to make the report public. Court permission is required because the report contains information from grand jury subpoenas. It’s unclear when the court will make a decision.
“For decades, survivors reported sexual abuse perpetrated by Catholic priests and for decades the Church covered up the abuse rather than holding the abusers accountable and protecting its congregations,” according to the court filing. “The Archdiocese of Baltimore was no exception.” Read the rest here

Priests and nuns watch internet porn, Pope Francis admitted while speaking with seminarians in Rome on Monday.
Pope Francis said internet porn was a ‘vice’ shared between members of the church.
‘It is a vice that many people have, many laymen, many laywomen, and also priests and nuns,’ said the 85-year-old Pope.
‘The Devil gets in that way. And I’m not just talking about criminal pornography like that involving the abuse of children, that is already degeneration. But pornography that is a little “normal”‘, he continued.

Vatican Chief Auditor Says He Was Raided And Forced Out For Digging Too Deep
The Vatican’s former chief auditor, Libero Milone, says he was raided by gendarmes in June of 2017, after which he was accused of spying on top Vatican cardinals.

“We have not awakened in the face of planetary wars and injustices, we have not listened to the cry of the poor, and of our gravely ill planet,” the pontiff told the Italian daily Il Mattino. “We thought we would always remain healthy in a sick world.”

Vatican Chief Praises Italy’s Law Legalizing Abortion as a ‘Pillar of Society’
ROME, Italy — The president of the Pontifical Academy for Life called Italy’s notorious Law 194 legalizing abortion “a pillar of society” this weekend, insisting that no one is looking to overturn it.
Interviewed by Italian state television Rai Tre, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia lauded the 1978 law allowing abortion in Italy, a move that critics called a new “ground zero of morality.”
“I believe that at this point the Law 194 is a pillar of our social life,” the archbishop stated. “In my opinion, and I have written as much, I would like to see more emphasis on the part that is hardly spoken of, namely the right to motherhood, to see our country grow, in the face of the drama of a generational imbalance that is quite dramatic.”
“I would exhort to look with trust upon a country that wishes to live in liberty, in development and progress, and I think that the crisis in natality is a problem on which we have unfortunately not reflected and it is already late,” he said. Read the rest here
